Strengthening expertise between industries

In June 2025, Winoa’s Technical Center in France welcomed Italian industry professionals for a hands-on, in-depth training session dedicated to surface preparation and blasting technologies. The visit was part of an ongoing effort to deepen technical partnerships and share best practices across markets.

The attendees—representing leading companies from the automotive, stainless steel, and surface treatment sectors—gained valuable knowledge on abrasive materials, blasting techniques, and process optimization.

Brembo: enhancing casting quality in high-performance brake systems

Caterina Arrigoni, Process Engineer from Brembo, a global leader in braking systems, emphasized the importance of understanding how shot blasting media and equipment directly influence the quality of cast iron discs.

“It was important for me to deep-dive into the behavior of different abrasive materials and how the working mix affects final product quality. This learning helps us better monitor and control our processes,” she shared.

Her visit also offered insights into the materials inside the blasting machines, equipping her to better assess quality impacts at every stage of production. “I return home more conscious about this part of our process,” she concluded.

CM Surface Treatment: offering smarter solutions

Representing CM Surface Treatment, Mateus Culleton focused on deepening his understanding of abrasives—key components for the machines his company designs and manufactures.

“We don’t just sell machines—we sell solutions. And to offer the right solution, we must understand the best abrasive for each application,” Matthias explained.

He praised the opportunity to explore the full lifecycle of abrasives and the different use cases presented during the course, which will help CM Surface Treatment better guide clients in optimizing results with Winoa products.
